Communication and transport are integral parts of our daily lives. Transportation refers to services that move goods and people using different means of transport, while communication refers to long-distance connections among people.
Transport is a service which is done by humans, animals and different kinds of vehicles for transportation of goods. In the process of transporting people and goods, the process can be done by land, air and water.
There are three modes of transportation:
Short distances are covered by road transport, which is cheaper and faster.
Transport by ship is the way in which oceans are connected. Ships of varying sizes connect oceans for water transportation.
This is a fast and inexpensive means of transportation for long-distance travel. It does not work for short trips.
There are numerous methods for connecting with long-distance individuals. Long-distance communication took much longer in the past, but now we can have a conversation within seconds.
The three modes of communication are:
Postal Communication was done through letters, postcards, telegrams. In 2013, telegram service also stopped in India.
TeleCommunication is said to be the fastest communication done using telephones, mobiles. It includes Calls, SMS, Fax Machines and the Internet.
Mass Communication is done by a group of people or a company to send a message to several people simultaneously.
